My Poem: Misery on the Road to Aleppo
My Short Story: Birds of a Feather
Hearing the past cries of Armenian
Villagers,
Victims of Turkey's Extermination,
Torturous massacres,
They have suffered.
Habousi, do not weep,
For your spirit is alive
Along with the Armenians that survived
Traditions and stories thrive
Through generations of our ancestors
They could not take our culture,
Habousi, do not weep,
Holy crosses replaced with crescents,
Crucifixion wounds inflicted our descendants,
Persecution and death from the genocide.
Habousi, do not weep.
We are strong,
Rising from such a fate,
We live,
We breathe,
We are Armenian!
Habousi, do not weep,
For Turkey does not acknowledge
It's sins of annihilating a race,
It is such a disgrace,
Habousi,
You are remembered,
Habousi, you live forever
In the hearts of Armenians!
Habousi!
